I absolutely loved elim chamber by TwiztedMatt1007 and couldnt resist recreating the classic with a few twist like the bouncing shield doors and jetpacks. For those of you who dont like the bouncing floor simply raise the grid above the shield doors. My dodge ball varient has a strictly sword plasma nade and jetpack loadout. Everything else was created similar to the elim chamber with the hole to throw nades to release prisoners as well. Also dont cross the middle or you will die from the death barrier.

Did you ask TwiztedMatt1007 before recreating his map? I think it is only fair to give people time to recreate their own maps before using their ideas.

I did not ask him actually... if he doesnt approve I will be more than happy to remove the post. I would actually be honored if someone recreated a map that I made. Then again some people are weird about stuff like that...

realy nice but the capturebar disturbs a bit. maybe one solution would be dont use terretories, use king of the hill with 1 point win?
I take 5min and test it, it works fine with king of the hill.

But u got one problem with two versions.
If the last 2 players die at the same moment, no one wins and everyone must wait the full time.
Maybe if u have only ONE life u get a draw at this situation
edit: no with one life u cant capture the hill/territorie ^^
edit2: okay now the real easy way oO
why not only team slayer with one life, 5 rounds and infinity points to need to win ( u win if all enemies are dead)
In first look its make more sense? No waiting if the last two player die at the same time and every player can see how much kills he has made.
edit3: ah okay now i see how it works with the teleporter, u dont want one life. Okay but King of hill still works and make the same with no Bar :D
but if the last two players die at the same moment no one can activate the telporter or take the Territorie/hill ?

Wow I really like the aesthetics of this map. Must agree with the other post that make sure you have someones approval before making a map. To tell you the truth, I would be honored as well if someone remade one of my maps. Great concept, good execution=Download

I wouldn't say they're weird, just that they want credit for what they originally designed. For example, if this map went viral, you would get the credit for his idea.
If someone recreated one of my maps (that I didn't plan on recreating) I would be honoured, but still would like to be listed as co creator.

I would be honored if someone wanted to remake my map too, but there is a difference when you are remaking someones map on a new and improved version of forge. There is a good chance that if you wanted to remake it, that he also had plans of remaking it. In that case he should have the first shot at it. I do, however, appreciate that you would be willing to remove the post if he disapproved.

A pretty cool twist I think- guys, there are no patents for forge on Halo:Reach. Everyone who is anyone will know who thought of the idea as far as forgers go. If it goes viral, it just means its popular. D, just say at the top of your post "Remake of so-and-so's original idea, but with jetpacks" and then everyone will know.
On topic: Jet packs are cool! And also I like the cone pointers. Way to put the death barrier- honor rules suck.

Good news I talked to twiztedmatt and he is working on a remake of elim chamber! He also liked my version but pointed out some flawes that i totally missed so look for a perfected version from him.

Cool map but people would cross the kill boundary without knowing it would kill you and die. I'm not sure but if you can make kill boundaries team specific, put one on each side and make them soft kill.

It would only take one time before they realized that they were not supposed to cross it. There is no need to make it more complicated than that.

As he said, he did not but, as was also stated later, we have talked and I am fine with it. I was actually surprised someone took the time to remake it in Reach before I did. Was quite flattered actually. Mostly I was just happy others enjoyed it enough to put the time into remaking it. He's given me credit for the original so I am happy. I also appreciate everyone defending it as well but, no worries, I am fine with the remake and I have my remake of it almost done. If you want to see it the preview is in my sig.

I've tried the KOTH idea on my make of it and it is not up to snuff for what I wanted from it. It ends up being territories because the game, like it was in Halo 3, is sudden death based. The game timer is set to one minute but, because the territory is contested the game goes into sudden death, indefinitely. When one team is wiped out, it will capture and the round will end. If both teams die out, at worst, there is a one minute wait for the round to end, at best, 5 seconds as it comes out of sudden death. That round no one will get a point as it was indeed a tie. The bar is annoying but, nothing can be done about that.
Slayer would indeed disrupt the whole nifty spawn system this game is known for so, that is a no go if you choose to use the spawn system. Mine will support slayer but, it is secondary and really only there in case you have un-even teams.
