Yesterday the New Post Reported that NBC is banning PETA's intended super bowl commercial. Personally I think it's a joke compared to some of the go daddy and Budweiser commercials of the past, but judge for yourself

NBC pulled the plug on a PETA pro-veggie commercial planned for the Super Bowl because it "depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards," according to NBC Universal's advertising standards executive, Victoria Morgan. The ad, which carries the tagline, "Studies Show Vegetarians Have Bet ter Sex," shows lingerie-clad stunners getting "intimate" with vegetables. One shot depicts an actress "rubbing [her] pelvic region with pumpkin." Says a PETA rep: "PETA's veggie ads are locked out, while ads for fried chicken and burgers are allowed, even though these foods make Americans fat, sick and boring in bed."

I personally think that the older one was worse than the new one. I've seen far worse commercials though.

Actually studies show women prefer meat... lol.

Anyways I could never go vegetarian. I mean who can eat bacon and be like "never again."

Being a vegetarian is nice and all, but the human body was meant to eat meat at one point or another. For one, the nutrition you need from meat can't exactly be obtained through none meat sources. You'd have to take supplements.

Also, I like my chicken, beef, and other meats though not fish.

For fun, here's a picture. (I don't eat at KFC anymore after the food poisoning incident)

The human body needs meat, but certainly not in the quantities we tend to eat in the western world.

Actually basically all modern cardiologists not in the pocket of major meat industries will tell you, the human body was not intended to eat meat. And we certainly do not 'need' it.

Cardiologist William C. Roberts hails from the famed cattle state of Texas, but he says this without hesitation. Humans aren't physiologically designed to eat meat. "I think the evidence is pretty clear. If you look at various characteristics of carnivores versus herbivores, it doesn't take a genius to see where humans line up," says Roberts, editor in chief of The American Journal of Cardiology and medical director of the Baylor Heart and Vascular Institute at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.Comparative Anatomy of Eating by Milton R.
