Enjoy I think it was a very well done trailer and I look forward to the actual short. Some parts made my jaw drop.

I thought it was pretty good. Possibly showing how Kat loses her arm. These keep getting better and better, ever since the Halo 3 shorts with WETA.

I've spoiler tagged our perspective on this ad:

you guys nailed it - essentially this is Kat pre-arm loss - the mission in which she lost it - and presumably the original noble six you replace at the start of Reach the game. This was Bungies position, that it's not actually on Reach - but its intentionally nebulous. Casual fans won't care and will assume it's Reach, hardcore fans know it cant be. You guys are Halo CSI - can't get nuthin past you

Glad people enjoy it, turned out pretty sweet overall IMO.

Time for mega marketing to glass your wallets.

Funny how awesome the Spartans look in the trailer, and how horrid their costumes look without all the special effects and what not XD

I also noticed that: Whoever threw that bomb did NOT survive. I paused it as he's throwing it at the camera, and the detonation was at 0:01. One second to go. This is the mission where Thom died

That could also explain why Kat blames herself. She was supposed to get the bomb there and because she got hit, Thom took it instead and died.

Every time a new Halo game is coming out we see what a Halo movie could have been like and it sucks.

(Sucks that they haven't made a movie, not the trailer sucks cause the trailer is awesome)

I kinda wish Thom didn't use the jetpack to get to the cruiser... it just looked kinda silly tbh. Regardless, still an epic trailer. Loved how the cruisers shields looked at the end while it was containing the explosion.

I agree. That was the one part I didn't like. Why was she running through the battle field with the bomb if someone could have just flew up there?

Maybe they were aiming for something else, ran out of time because she got hurt, and decided to do that instead.

They were doing it like "Truth and Reconciliation" from Halo CE. Taking it up the lift beneath the ship. My problem with it is, why arm the bomb BEFORE you reach your destination?

Edit - You'll notice he cuts the jets once he hits the lift to float up the rest of the way.

Sorry, but unless the production company and the distributor have near to 0% control over the project, I hope we never see one. A Halo movie would be best served without any known talent. Hollywood would screw up everything, including cannon. The script wouldn't be written by Bungie, the score wouldn't be done by Marty, The visors would be clear so you could see the AAA actor's faces at all times (or they would be helmet-less for the most part, and Srgt Johnson would be played by a Wayans brother. They might as well get Uwe Bol to direct it as it would suck either way.

I think it's different when comparing a company's marketing budget and a budget for a feature film. They also don't have to present dailies on a 30 second spot to a board like film directors do.

Whats new? I watched and I didn't see anything new... Besides the extended scene with the down spartan (Old Noble 6?) and the other one (Noble 7?). It only extended like 5 seconds longer too.

Did you even compare? That's why it called an extended trailer, like it shows Kat running more, and the scene between the two Spartans is a bit longer. In fact, every scene is a bit longer.
