2v2 Showdown Finals

At the beginning, there were sixteen. At the end there was one. After almost two months, XForgery's 2v2 Showdown has finally come to a close, with one team standing above all the rest.

Congratulations to MultiLockOn and Vyctoriouz of Team Octopussy for prevailing over all.

Team Octopussy didn't win it easily though. In the final round, they went up against the strong Final Instincts. Thomas and l33tmeerkatslol put up a very strong fight, with the final round having to go into the third game.

2v2 Finals Betting Pool Results

If you didn't see in the original thread (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10207), the points from the betting pool have been tallied and distributed.

The bets have been tallied, matches have been played and one team has been crowned the champion. That can only lead to one thing....... A shit ton of XF Points!


Overall, there were 2825 points bet on the match, and XF is throwing an additional 1000 points into the mix, bringing the grand total of the pot to 3825 points, to be distributed amongst those who bet on the winning team.

Your winnings are being calculated like so:

Winnings = Your Initial Bet + [(Your Number of Bets/Total Number of Bets For Winning Team)*(Total Points Bet On Other Team+XF Addition)]


What does that mean? It means that your winnings are proportionate to the amount you bet. But, effectively, with how the numbers worked out, everybody that bet on Team Octopussy will be more than doubling their amount of bet points.

That was a very dramatic finale, a great way to end the tournament. Congratulations to Final Instincts as well though. They really are a great team.

Finally, congrats to Ace for hosting this tournament and seeing it though all the way to the end. While this tournament was a success, there were a few bumps along the way, and some tough decisions had to be made. Still, you overcame those obstacles and we all learned a few lessons. Your hard work and months of planning has finally paid off, and while some doubted you would be able to make something like this work, I had little doubt (even though I was joking it should of been an OVERBOARD! tournament :p). I knew you could do something that event directors of the past have failed to achieve (including myself), and I'm glad you were the first to find success in something that is not easy to manage. This was the reason why I wanted you to be an event director, and to this day you still continue to impress me. You truly are my successor.
