2v2 Finals Betting Pool

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to my betting thread, where you can risk it all, lose it all, or win it all. (Or at least a few xf points). With the recent increase in people "Betting" on these last few matches, I thought I'd actually start up a betting pool.

How is this going to work? Simple, you post in this thread saying which team you're betting on, buy in your bet, and the people that bet on the winning team get all the points equally divided up amongst them. But rst you say, how do I buy in to this pool? Well, I'm afraid the only way to do that at this point is for you to "donate (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/credits.php?do=manage)" your points to this user, Your Bets Here, where I'll keep a running tally and put the points where they need to be when the time comes. The pay in is increments of 25 XF points. Twenty five, fifty, seventy five, etc.

You must post in this thread who you are voting for, because the staff need to know how to use your points. If you don't post who you're voting for you may just be wasting your time. You must also post the amount you're betting. And remember! Increments of 25 only.

Well, it was originally for simplicities sake, to keep from having to do percentages (the losing side would be evenly divided between everyone). Ask Nully.

Considering it was one game each going into the last game, i would think any bet would count up until that last game started. I saw they were playing the last game and wanted to vote for FI because the pool was huge, but didn't know if it would count. Oh well.

The bets have been tallied, matches have been played and one team has been crowned the champion. That can only lead to one thing....... A shit ton of XF Points!


Overall, there were 2825 points bet on the match, and XF is throwing an additional 1000 points into the mix, bringing the grand total of the pot to 3825 points, to be distributed amongst those who bet on the winning team.

Your winnings are being calculated like so:

Winnings = Your Initial Bet + [(You Number of Bets/Total Number of Bets For Winning Team)*(Total Points Bet On Other Team+XF Addition)]


What does that mean? It means that your winnings are proportionate to the amount you bet. But, effectively, with how the numbers worked out, everybody that bet on Team Octopussy will be more than doubling their amount of bet points.
