Unimportant Backstory:

When I bought a new XBOX (after a two month break from my broken one), I lost everything that wasn't in my fileshare (Sorry Air Ride!), and considering that I do not particularly enjoy remaking my maps from scratch, I decided to work on gametypes. I made the Slayer game Yeah (+2 per kill, -1 per death), from which I created Yeah hill (+5 per kill, -1 per hill second) and Yeah VIP (+1 per destination, -1 per VIP death). Obviously the two gametypes branched away from one another, especially after I remembered my old VIP game Disposable (some of you might remember it too) and set off to remake it. This is what came out of that effort (and almost too much testing).

Description:

Expendable is a rather original VIP game that may take some getting used to (especially if the people playing haven't read this post or tested it with me). That is because you have to betray your own VIP.

There are actually several reasons to do this: The destination only changes when the VIP dies, but the VIP gets 2 points per destination. Though the VIP loses 1 point for dying, you get 1 point for betraying him, which balances it out... unless the attackers get the VIP first, in which case you lose 1 point and they gain 1 point.

So basically, your VIP has to reach the destinations for points (defenders +2). At which point you have to betray him to change the destination (defenders 0). You also have to defend him from the attackers, because if they kill him first, the destination will change regardless of whether he reached it or not, and the points will move in their favour (defenders -1, attackers +1).

On a side note, if you are wondering why the scoring system is so complicated, it is because I actually had two different scoring systems that I was testing. While, in both the VIP got 1 point per destination, the kill scoring was different. In one, the VIP lost a point for dying (which was balanced out by the +1 for betrayal), and in the other, the attackers got a point for killing the VIP (but the VIP team didn't lose anything). Neither played how I wanted them to, so I just stacked them on top of each other!

Don't worry though, the traits make the game balance between the two teams. I would just tell you how much damage and health everyone has, but that wouldn't make very much sense, so instead I'll describe how much damage everyone does in percentages (assume 100% health, normal shields). While the attackers do about 30% damage to the VIP team (and VIP), the VIP's team does 60% damage to the attackers (the VIP, on the other hand, does 40% damage to the attackers). And most importantly, to make the betrayal system function smoothly, the VIP's team does over 300% damage to the VIP. If you want to understand this in depth, look in the Gametype Settings Spoiler.

Continuing on your spree of masochistic gametypes...

This gametype was crazy and weird in all the right ways. Just rushing to betray the VIP before the enemy could land a shot was interesting XD.

Whole thing was a pile of crazy win. Download it!

I really like this gametype. I always loved killing my team and now I get points for it!
The most important part is that everyone understands how this game works, if everyone is on the same page than it plays beautifully. It brings a fresh twist to long forgotten DLC maps and I like that. Very Creative- keep up the great work!

is it one point for betrayals in general because if it is then you could just betray all your teammates and get points

While it is one point for VIP betrayal (only when you betray the VIP), there is also -1 point for VIP death (again, only when the VIP dies). The betrayal point is only there to balance the point you lose when the VIP dies. So if you betray your VIP (like you are supposed to), you get nothing. But, if he dies and you didn't betray him (as in if he is killed by the other team or kills himself), you lose a point (and if he was killed by the other team, they get a point).

Playing this was really really fun... I took a little while to get the hang of, but we had a few really great games. Some of the times it was a massacre, but im sure u fixed most if the minor issues. Brass knuckles ftw!!!
