Rules for the whole board. Read this!

1: General:
These forums are a public location where the members and staff can submit maps, game variants, pictures, videos; have conversations, discussions, debates, or just post whatever is on their mind. Anything posted here can be seen and responded to by any registered member, at any time. The information on this site may not be accurate or reflect the views of the staff.
2: Agreement:
By registering and/or using any of the maps, game variants, pictures, videos, or other items, you agree to follow the rules and regulations of this document, and whether current or changed in the future. Any changes that occur in this document will be noted in an e-mail and PM to all users. Also, by agreeing to these terms, you also agree to the terms specified in individual forums and/or topics. It is your responsibility, as the user, to provide the correct e-mail address when registering to this site, and that you read all of the rules before posting.
3: Posting and Private Messaging (PM) Rules and Limitations:
3.1: There is an allowance of mild language on the board. Do NOT post anything that is beyond mild (this is dealt with on a case-by-case basis and it's better if you keep the general rule of PG-13 in mind).
3.2: There will be no racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discrimination.
3.3: There will be no posts meant to offend or hurt any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory. This includes threads deemed as flame-bait or flaming another map-creating community.
3.4: Pornography, warez, roms, gambling, or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked to or posted in any shape in this forum. Doing so will get you at least a 10 day ban, if not a permanent ban instantly.
3.5: All posts are property of the poster. This forum and all web sites owned in conjunction with this forum have the right to request alteration or deletion of any offensive post. Posts may be deleted or edited for any reasons the forum administrators deem reasonable.
3.6: Pictures are allowed to be posted as long as they are limited in size and don't contain anything explicit or offensive.
3.7: Linked and locked topics may be pruned regularly to reduce page clutter. If you have a question about where your topic went, please PM a Staff Member or Administrator before starting a new topic asking where it went, or posting a duplicate of the original topic. We will be happy to provide you with a link to the new location, or a reason why it was locked and/or removed.
3.8: Please do not post any advertisements on the board except in the appropriate sections, namely the Advertisement forum or personal signature. This includes advertising in somebody else's map submission. (Example: “Hey that’s really cool. Check out my map/ vid/ etc.”)
3.9: Members found sending PM or email advertisements will have these privileges taken away. It is requested that all members set their email settings to Private.
3.10: Solicitation for money will not be tolerated, either by PM or on the board. With the recent rise in scams, this measure must be put into place, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Anyone found soliciting for money will be immediately banned.
3.11: Please do not post questions about why people are warned, suspended, banned or other related issues. This is a private matter between the staff and that member.
3.12: We request that the bumping of threads be kept at a minimum. Bumping is the process of posting a message with the sole purpose of sending a thread to the top of the forum list. To avoid the chance of mass bumping, we request that if you want to bring one of your threads back to the top, you only do it once a day. Excessive bumping or double posting will result in the removal of your thread, or a suspension.
4: Conduct on other Websites:
When you go over to another website, and you represent XForgery through a sig or by stating you‘re from XForgery, you have made yourself a self-appointed ambassador of this website. You may not think of yourself as an ambassador, but this is what you are. If you spam and cause trouble, it reflects onto the image of Xforgery in a negative manner. If we find out from another website that you’re intently causing malicious behavior over there and they can prove it (Trolling, flamebaiting etc.), you will be held accountable for your actions over here. If you have nothing good to post on that other website, simply don’t post it. Consider this your only warning.
5: Submissions:
5.1: The forms used to submit content to the forums are there to help you submit a file, and to help others understand what you are presenting. Failing to use the given template will result in the closing of your thread.
5.2: Map submissions to this site must be your own, with your own name as the author. This, however, doesn't mean that you have to be the only person who helped create the map.
5.3: Map submissions must provide a link to the map for download inserted within the correct text box within the forms.
6: Users & User Privileges:
6.1: Users are held responsible for the protection of their account. The use of shared accounts is unwise, and the staff recommend that everyone has his/her own account.
6.2: Any person who attempts to present themselves as a Moderator or another member of the staff by posting negatively to a member's topic (which has been posted in error and requires locking or moving to another forum) or any form of backseat moderating may be warned and/or placed into moderation queue upon further inspection.
6.3: Any impersonation of a user from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and may result in a banning.
6.4: Users may not argue with a staff members decision publicly. Any and all complaints directed at a staff member must first address this member in question via PM. If the problem can not be resolved, then the staff member and user must send their positions to the forum administrator. The forum administrator will make or change any and/or all final decisions.
6.5: Users may not create multiple accounts without just cause. If found guilty of this, your normal account will receive a ban and your second account will be deleted.
6.6: No quote pyramids, or 5 or more posts quoted on top of one another.
7: Personal Information:
7.1: All personal information, including full name, address, profiles on non-videogame related websites, pictures, etc., is property of the respective individual.
7.2: Personal information is still the property of the individual, regardless of other locations they have chosen to post it publicly.
7.3: If a link to personal information is provided by the individual, any information at that location is still considered their property and expressed permission is still required to post it.
7.4: If personal information is posted publicly, linking to that information, with intent to bring notice to it, is prohibited.
7.5: Any user who posts such personal information of another individual, without their expressed permission, is subject to a minimum of a one day ban and an infraction. Additional punishment is at the discretion of the staff based on severity of the action and past history.
7.5.1: All presented information above is to be interpreted as-is unless the item in question is an image posted on XForgery. In the event that the personal information is an image posted on XForgery, the owner of said image(s) must explicitly announce whether or not they want their image(s) being edited by others. In the event that this is not announced, the image(s) of that user will not require that user's permission to edit and use. Note that this only affects images posted on XForgery. Images posted elsewhere will require permission for use.
8: Theft:
8.1: Items (maps, pictures, movies, etc) posted on these forums are the sole property of the user and the site. Use of the items found here may not be redistributed without the permission of the user or the Forgery staff.
8.2: You cannot edit any of the items found here at the Forgery forums without first gaining permission from the user or the Forgery staff. Posting edited items will also not be tolerated.
9: General Notice:
Forgery and any of it's affiliates aren't owned or governed by Bungie Studios or Microsoft. Please remember we are not responsible for any messages posted and are not held responsible for the contents of any message. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact an administrator immediately by Personal Message. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, if we determine that removal is necessary.
