» XForgery Firefight Friday XXIII [3/12] |
|

Welcome to another edition of Xforgery Firefight Fridays for March 12th!
The time has come for you to set aside your multiplayer feuds, grab that silenced pistol, and show the covenant that the flying zeroes are not going down without a fight! However it wouldn't be fun unless there was some competition on the side, and that's where XFFF comes in!
This event will take place on Crater, fight for your lives as covenant pour in from every direction.
What is XFFF?
XFFF or "XForgery Firefight Fridays" is an event that happens every Friday. This event will test your team's firefighting skill with other teams as you compete for the top of the leaderboards for glory and prizes. This won't be no 2 hour event or an event in which your team must show up at this day during this certain time. No. This will be a 12 HOUR EVENT for the competitive teams and an ALL WEEKEND affair for those who like to play in the casual department.
What does that mean? Instead of just playing one game during that 12 hour span, you can play as many games as your thumbs will allow you to in an attempt to get the highest score. Sounds easy right? Well it isn't. The covenant are tenacious and will do everything in their power to destroy your chances for glory! Teamwork is essential to success.
How do I sign up for XFFF?
If you want to register as a team leader, send me or another active event director a private message with the title "XFFF registration", or sign up in this thread. From there you will be assigned a team number for your squad. You have until March 10th at 11:59 PM (Central Standard Time) to register as a team leader.
As team leader, you are... [Read More]

Basic InformationCreator(s): rifte gifle and Coyote1023
Category: Conventional
Canvas: Avalanche
Size: Large
Supported Gametypes: BT Rush
Recommended Party Size: 10-16 Players OverviewEarlier, I joked with rifte gifle about how if he won any more features, we'd have to give him a permanent seat as supporter, because this is just getting silly. Of course how can you blame him, when he pairs with such greats as Coyote1023 to create some of the most profound and impactful things we've seen on this site? And Coolant Fields is no exception to this reign of greatness.
Reminiscent of the Big Team Conquest maps of old, Coolant Fields features a linear territory-style competition, though remains distinct from its inspiration by sporting a unique gametype, BT Rush. The emphasis should definitely be on the "BT" part of that, standing for "Big Team." Because of the sheer size of the playing field, any party ... [Read More]

..::If you were planning on skipping over the thread just to see the applicants who made the team, do me a favor and read the whole thing through::..
..::A Warning towards the xForgery Community::..
xForgery is one of the most well know forging forums out there. We've been known for being community based, for having creative site features, for popularizing and discovering gametypes, and all in all, xForgery hosts a lot of those big names in Forge. Now, if we have our map forums constantly spammed, it's not making us look good on any grounds. Just a warning to those of you who continuously get away with spamming the map forums because of xForgery's lenience; you won't be getting away anymore. From here on out, if I see that you have a questionable post, I won't hesitate to delete/infract it.
..::A Quick Thanks::..
First off, I'd like to thank everyone who applied. Not once has the review team been buried blessed with so many applications. And not only were there substantially more than anytime before (17 applications to be exact), but we had to ourselves some of the best applications we've ever read here in xForgery. Some of them showed pure talent, skill, and even charm in some cases. While others...
